This item is perfect for my particular needs but would work great on any outdoor faucet. Our outdoor faucets are now too low to the ground since we installed pavers between the house and garage...hence it's impossible to screw on a garden hose. We initially considered building a square cavity into the pavers below ground level right under the faucets so we could attach a garden hose to the faucet, but this made fitting the pavers difficult plus it left a hole for water to gather in.
I searched Amazon for a solution and luckily found this product. This faucet extension provides extra length to the faucet and curves into an L so that its end is accessible. Screwing on the hose is now a cinch. The kink-proof wire wrapped around the extension does exactly what it needs to do.
I'd always found it difficult to attach a hose to an outside faucet cuz the faucet is so close to the house foundation--hard to turn the hose end onto it. Hence, if most outdoor faucets are like ours--too close to the house--this extension would make it easier to attach a hose so's you're not rubbing your knuckles against the foundation.
This extension is a very well built item...the faucet/hose screw-on ends provide leak-proof connections. A 5 star item.
